Manhattan is full of incredible things to see and activities to take part in. Anyone visiting New York City for the first time should make sure to see as many of the following attractions as possible during their stay.

- Times Square is the tourist center of Manhattan Island, famous for its larger than life advertisements, souvenir shopping, bright lights, and proximity to Broadway theaters.

- Grand Central Terminal is one of two main train hubs in Manhattan. Notably old, beautifully designed and ridden with secrets of bygone eras, Grand Central is a treat for history buffs.

- Central Park is the largest park on the island of Manhattan and serves as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city that surrounds it. Complete with a zoo, a castle and what seems like endless acres of lush grass and shade trees, Central Park is the perfect afternoon escape for anyone visiting the city.

- The Empire State Building is the tallest building on the Manhattan skyline and boasts incredible views from its observation deck, set at an impressive 1250 feet above New York City. An icon of the city, the Empire State Building attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year.

New York City, otherwise known as the Big Apple is jammed packed with hundreds of hotels. With so many hotels to choose from, many tourists and locals find it rather hard to choose a hotel that accommodates their needs. To make things easier, noted below are a handful of hotels that have won countless awards and have also received numerous compliments on the web.

The Setai Fifth Avenue: Located on the heart of Fifth Avenue, The Setai is a luxury hotel that has just about any accommodation that you can dream of. With large rooms, this five-star hotel has rooms that are equipped with mini-bars, jacuzzi tubs, fantastic room service and so much more.

Hotel Elysee: Located on E. 54th Street, the Hotel Elysee is located directly next to Central Park. With a great location near many fabulous restaurants and shopping districts, the Hotel Elysee has very nice rooms, fantastic views and even a friendly and helpful hotel staff to ensure that you enjoy your stay.

Hotel Giraffe: Directly located on Park Avenue, the Hotel Giraffe may have a silly name, but its rooms are far from it. With an awesome location near hot spots such as Time Square, the Hotel Giraffe offers spacious rooms, evening wine sessions and even great views of the Empire State Building.

The next time you want to visit New York City in style, highly consider adding the hotel rooms above to your hotel list.

Breathtaking views, a relaxed atmosphere and some of the best wine in the world are just a few of the reasons my mind always drifts back to Napa Valley when I think of the most memorable vacation I’ve ever taken. As a lover of wine, I always envisioned my perfect vacation in Napa. When my husband surprised me with a week of wine tasting and sight-seeing, I was ecstatic.

The luxurious amenities of our five-star resort were complete perfection. Each night we experienced a complimentary wine tasting from a different local winery and each morning we drank our coffee on the balcony overlooking the valley. During the day, we visited the wineries; our favorite being one situated 300 feet above the valley, accessible only by aerial tram. The view was spectacular, the wine was stellar and the ambiance of each place we visited was unimaginable.

We ventured outside of wine country on occasion, heading to national parks to see the redwoods and into nearby San Francisco. We drove over the Golden Gate Bridge with the top of our rental car down and dined waterfront as often as possible. For romance, stunning views and mouth-watering wine, Napa Valley is a dream destination.
